I am a serious crafter and do multiples of crafts. Many times I am on the go and am always happy to share with others how to do things. I loved reviewing the above products by Vornado for sewing and other needs. The steamer is wonderful and can be used with fabric, and other projects! I fell in love with the little iron this compact size is perfect for small projects and for travel. If you are a teacher like me - You can teach others how to sew etc.. and this is so easy to pack along with your portable sewing machine etc.. Really cool ! I can say enough about the quality and how essential these pieces are to ever serious crafter you will have these for years and use them multiple times throughout the week depending on how many days you work on your projects. Sewing Helps for a better sew experience #HACKS #SEW

1. Keep your needle pressed down into your machine

2. Buy cone thread if you sew a lot or use a coffee mug.

3. use rocks to hold your fabric down vs/pinning a lot faster to cut - flat smooth rocks are best.

4. use a glue stick to thread your needle in a pinch

5. hot glue your measuring tape to your table if you sew a lot.

6. zig zag your hems then roll and hem.

7. If you are new make friends with seasoned sewers for questions you run into.

8.  Buy a extra cheap sewing machine so you won't ever have to stop sewing!

9. Take apart old clothing you are done with and use for patterns.

10.  Get a magnet to pick up any lost needles that may wander.

11. use clear nail polish on top of bottons to make them last longer.

12. Use a chop stick to help you turn tight pieces inside or rightside out.

13. No matter how long you have been sewing read your entire machine manual and keep it handy - read it again periodically as a refresher. Know it like the back of your hand.

14. Change your machine needle frequently.

15. Press while you go to get that professional look.

Tention help for your sewing machine #SEWING #SEWINGMACHINE

Image result for sewing tension

Here is a tip to help you to get to the best Tension on your sewing machine-

When threading your machine the higher number turning clockwise - the discs  move closer together which increases the amount of pressure. Turn to a lower number - counter clockwise will make the discx move apart decreasing the pressure. If you use a thicker thread and don't reset the dial this will increase the pressure and make the upper thread flow to decrease, if you have a newer machine that will make the authomatic  upper-tension adjustments. The bobbin tension is not self-adjusting and will need to be done manually to match.

Travel tip. Sew a few stitches on a towel and keep your toiletry dry. A fun gift idea, too. DIY.
